Installation
Make sure the roof air conditioner is centred perfectly. The seal must be
applied continuously around the roof air conditioner after placing it on the
roof of the vehicle. This is the only way to ensure a tight seal.
XF105 only:
Before you put the system on the roof opening, stick a 2 cm strip of 25 x
10 mm sealing tape beside the duct for the condensate hose on the
bottom of the system (see fig. 7 on page 5, Pos 1).
When putting on the system, take care not to crush the hose, in order that
the condensate can drain unhindered.
➤ Screw one self-locking M8 nut each + M8 washer (see fig. 5 on
page 4, Pos. 3 and 4) on to the four thread bolts.
Do not exceed the specified torque. Only then can you avoid deforming
the fastening holder. Make sure that a high contact pressure is achieved
with minimum effort.
➤ Tighten the nuts with a torque of 3 Nm to attach the system.
➤ Now turn the M8 nut (see fig. 5 on page 4, Pos. 1) to tighten it against
the fastening holder.
➤ Screw the four rubber buffers on to the four thread bolts.
The space between the upper edge of the rubber buffer and the roof
interior (contact surface of the cover frame) must be 8 mm. (see fig. 8
on page 5)
The rubber buffers serve as a stop limit for the cover frame and you can
influence the installation position of the cover frame by turning the buffers
up or down.
XF105 only:
On the XF105 the rubber buffers may have to be shortened.
