Dealing with malfunctions
In the event of malfunction or operating disturbances first check the points below:
Low room temperature during heating
Cause:
Compressor does not heat up.
Action:
Check and replace any blown circuit and main fu-
ses.
Cause:
The compressor does not start because of a too
low value set on the heating curve.
Action:
Check and possibly raise "Increase/reduce room
temperature" (knob on the front panel) or "Curve
slope".
Cause:
The compressor stands still due to the internal
overheating protection tripping.
Action:
Automatic resetting after cooling for a few hours.
Cause:
Possible earth circuit-breaker tripped.
Action:
Reset the earth circuit-breaker, if the earth circuit-
breaker trips repeatedly, call an electrician.
High room temperature during heating
Cause:
Incorrect setting of the "Curve slope" and/or
"Increase/reduce room temperature".
Action:
Adjust the setting.
NOTE
The product's serial number should always be stated
with all correspondence with NIBE.

Low hot water temperature or no hot water
Cause:
Large amounts of hot water were used.
Action:
Wait until the water heater reheats.
Cause:
Compressor and/or external additional heat does
not heat up.
Action:
Check and replace any blown circuit and main fu-
ses.
Cause:
Too low start temperature setting on the control
system (34).
Action:
Adjust the hot water setting "HW start", see
"Available information and on-display settings –
display 4".
Cause:
Possible earth circuit-breaker tripped.
Action:
Reset the earth circuit-breaker, if the earth circuit-
breaker trips repeatedly, call an electrician.
If the operating disturbance cannot be rectified by means of the above, an installation engineer should be called.
Low room temperature during cooling
Cause:
Compressor does not cool.
Action:
Check and replace any blown circuit and main fu-
ses.
Cause:
The compressor does not start because of a too
low value set on the cooling curve.
Action:
Check and possibly raise "Increase/reduce room
temperature" (knob on the front panel) or "Curve
slope".
Cause:
The compressor stands still due to the internal

NOTE
As FIGHTER 1127 can be connected to a large number
of external units, these should also be checked.
Helping the circulation pump to start

Shut off FIGHTER 1127 by setting the switch (8) to "0".
■
Open the service cover (Does not apply to the external
circulation pumps).
■
Loosen the venting screw with a screwdriver. Hold a cloth
around the screwdriver blade as a certain amount of
water may run out.
