now, the phase is on this terminal.
Please Notice: The mains tester function may be impaired by adverse
conditions (electrostatic fields, good isolation against earth etc.). In every case,
carry out a bipolar voltage test. Only of no voltage is indicated in this test, the
socket can be considered dead.

Continuity Test

With this function you can test circuitry, wires or components for electric
continuity.
Please Notice: Do not perform continuity tests on life parts, in such a case the
voltage in the parts will be indicated. No adjustment is necessary, because the
unit automatically detects from the voltage in the component whether a voltage
or a continuity test is performed.
Connect the ends or contact points of object you intend to test to both
probes or touch those points with the tips of the probes.

If the wire is intact or the resistance is very low, the LED (5) on the right
lights up and an acoustic signal can be heard. With this unit components
with a resistance of up to 50 kΩ can be tested for continuity.
