Please read these operating instructions carefully. Use the device only
as described in this manual.
Before taking any measurements always check the device, the measuring
cables and any other accessories for possible damage. In the event of
any damage, do not attempt to take measurements. Have the device
repaired by an authorized technician.
Keep the device out of the range of children.
Do not touch the tip of one probe while the other one is connected to a life
part.
Do not exceed the maximum allowable input voltage of 1000 V AC or DC.
When carrying out measurements of over 60 V DC or 25 V AC always
follows the relevant safety regulations. Touching life parts at these
voltages may cause lethal shocks!
Carry out measurements only on an insulated floor, in dry clothing and
wearing rubber shoes (or standing on a rubber mat). Do not touch any
metallic objects.
Disconnect the unit from all measuring objects before changing the
batteries.
Do not use the unit while the battery compartment is open.
Do not touch bare wires or live areas of the device during measurements
Do not reach over the hand guard when holding the probe (9). The hand
guard keeps your hand away from the metal tip to avoid possible electric
shock.
Do not expose the unit to rain or excessive humidity. If the unit has
become wet, dry it thoroughly before the next use.
Ensure no humidity can enter the device or the measurement cables.
Important! The device is not suitable for use in industrial high voltage
plants.
Only use original accessories.
