12. Plug in the remote operator to the receptacle in the front of the
38 kV SEG&TD.

13. Rotate the selector switch to the "Close" position.

14. On the remote operator, depress the "Permit" and "Charge/
Close" buttons simultaneously until the 38 kV SEG&TD is
closed (the incoming feeder is grounded).

15. Insert key "KU" into Lock #1 and rotate to release key "KB" .
This electrically disables the 38 kV SEG&TD.
16. Insert key "KB" into Lock #4 and rotate key "KD" to release it.
This mechanically locks the 38 kV SEG&TD in the "Close" con-
dition.
