Setting the Torque
The tightening torque is dependent on the spring pre-
tension of the shut-off clutch. The shut-off clutch
responds in right as well as left rotation when the
torque setting is reached.
For setting the individual tightening torques, use only
the adjustment tool 19 provided.

11
Turn the protective sleeve 3 until a slot is visible in the
housing. Use an open-end wrench to turn the tool bit
holder 11 slowly. When a small indentation (adjusting
dial 20) is visible in the clutch, insert the adjustment
tool 19 into the indentation and turn it.
20
Turning in the clockwise direction results in a higher
torque, in the counterclockwise direction, a lower
torque.
Remove the adjustment tool 19. Further turn the pro-
tective sleeve 3 until it is felt to lock in place.
Note: The required adjustment is dependent on the
type of threaded connection and can be best deter-
mined by practical trials. Check the trial screwings with
a torque wrench.
Set the torque only in the specified perfor-
mance range, otherwise the shut-off clutch
will no longer respond..
For higher torques, a correspondingly greater
counterforce is necessary. This counterforce can
be better accommodated by using a clamping
device.

Adjusting the Angled Drive Head
The angled drive head 1 with tool bit holder 11 can be
continuously adjusted around°. To this end, you can
hold the nutrunner in place in the clamping area 10.

Loosen the lock nut 2 by inserting an appropriate tool
into an opening of the lock nut and turning the lock nut
in the direction of the arrow a (left thread).
Turn the angled drive head 1 in the direction of the
arrow b until the desired working angle is reached, but
not more than once around 360°.
Fix the angled drive head 1 in place in this position by
turning the lock nut 2 in the direction of the arrow c
against the angled drive head. Retighten the lock nut 2
using a tightening torque of about 80 Nm.

Screw Counting Port
The tool offers the possibility, via a screw counting port,
of receiving automatically a shut-off signal when the
torque setting is reached. This shut-off signal serves,
for example, for controlling a conveyer belt and docu-
mentation of the bolting actions during fabrication or
controls the bolt feeding for an automatic bolting
machine.
If you want to operate the tool with a screw counting
port, please consult your authorized Bosch customer
service center.
