CREATING STAINING PROTOCOLS
Staining protocols are entered via the keyboard
on the touch screen. Two staining programs are
already installed on your Robot Stainer HMS 740.
Each created protocol is provided with a file
name.
Creating a new protocol:
 Tip on the menu button.
 Select the menu point "PROTOCOLS".
 Then select "EDIT PROTOCOL".
 The protocol screen is shown now.
 Then select "NEW". Here a selected protocol
can be loaded and altered via "LOAD". With
"NEW" a completely new protocol can be
processed.
 The following entries must be made for a new
protocol in the field "Stepdata":
Step: The corresponding step is selected by
choosing the respective bath in the bath layout.
Name: The name of the selected bath for this
step is automatically shown here.
Description: A protocol description is entered
here.
Time: Time in minutes and seconds can be
entered here.
Time flex: The time a slide basket can remain
in a station in addition to the above-mentioned
time can be entered here ensuring an optimal
interlace. A smooth parallel run of several
programs can be carried out.
Note:
To load the baskets rapidly into the
instrument, the first step can be
entered as time uncritical in the bath
layout.
When entering a time-uncritical bath, a
minimum time can be entered. However, the
flexible time cannot be altered anymore.
