WASTE STATION
The HMS 740 has an automatic drip preventing
system to minimize the carryover of reagents.
Surplus reagent is absorbed by a drip collector
and collected in an integrated containment which
is automatically emptied into the rinsing stations at
regular intervals.
If the collected reagent should not be disposed of
via the rinsing station, a bath station can be
programmed as a waste station for separate
disposal.
Then, the collected reagent liquid is not emptied
into the rinsing station, however, it is emptied into
the programmed bath container.
This bath container can be removed once a day to
dispose
of
the
contents
according to the regulations of the respective lab.
Note:
Stations 16 to 27 and 33 to 36
(depending on the model) can be
defined as waste stations.
Programming a waste station:
A waste station can be selected within the bath
layout.
For this, open the menu "Baths" under "Edit
bath layout".
Select any bath within the bath layout.
Select "Waste" under "Bath type".
After having confirmed it via "OK", the
respective station is shown in the bath layout
in brown color and with the description
"Waste".
Note:
In case a waste station is to be
integrated into an already existing bath
layout,
please
corresponding protocols are adjusted accordingly,
if necessary.
