Port

Ensure that the line voltage matches the voltage on the
power supply unit (use provided power supply cable).
5.2

Switching on

The KTS 200 is usually supplied with power via the
OBD diagnostic socket in the vehicle. If the location of
the OBD diagnostic socket in the vehicle is not known,
it is recommended that the KTS 200 be connected via
the power supply unit and the OBD diagnostic socket
be found using the KTS 200 control unit diagnosis soft-
ware.

i
If a test step involves starting the engine, the battery
voltage may drop to such an extent that supply via
the vehicle is no longer guaranteed. In such cases
it may be necessary to supply the KTS 200 via the
power supply unit.
i
On some vehicles, the ignition must be switched on
for power to be supplied via the OBD interface.

Connection to vehicle

The KTS 200 is designed for use on a vehicle with a bat-
tery voltage of 12 V and 24 V.
!
Make sure the OBD diagnostic cable is properly con-
nected to the KTS 200 and firmly attached. Incorrect
connection could cause the pins of the plug to bend
or break off. Use only the OBD diagnostic cable con-
tained in the scope of delivery.
