Adjusting the fuel supply and air supply
The boiler is commissioned by Viessmann engineers.
As part of this process, the boiler will be adjusted so
that the available fuel in conjunction with the amount of
air supplied will result in optimum combustion.
Warning
Risk of poisoning from carbon monoxide and
carbonisation gas as a result of incomplete com-
bustion caused by overfilling with fuel
Ensure that the fuel supply and air supply are
adjusted correctly.
When changing to a different fuel, have the
Viessmann engineers adjust the parameters to
suit the new fuel.
Note
Overloading the combustion chamber leads to ash
glazing on the fireproof interior lining and thereby to
premature damage to the combustion chamber.
The lining, grates and metal parts in the combustion
chamber are wearing parts. Excessively high loads will
cause the parts to wear more quickly.
Overloading the system will also have an increased
impact on the boiler, dust extractor and chimney, caus-
ing them to wear more quickly too.
Ensure that the fuel supply and air supply are adjusted
correctly.

Cause
Light barrier, transverse screw
conveyor is dirty or blocked by
woodchips
Combustion chamber door is
open
Bottom combustion chamber sen-
sor is faulty
Top combustion chamber sensor
is faulty
The set value for vacuum pres-
sure measurement could not be
reached.
Fault message from electrostatic
filter is active
Fault message relay disabled
Ash bin has been removed
Pressure of extinguishing water is
too low

Remedy
Clean light barrier or remove
woodchips, if applicable

Fit ash bin
Note
The composition of the fuel may differ in terms of parti-
cle size, type of wood, moisture content, bulk density
and other characteristics.
When changing to a different fuel, have the Viessmann
engineers adjust the parameters to suit the new fuel.
This will ensure optimum combustion of each fuel type.
The combustion chamber is not overloaded and the
emission values are observed.
