Installing side curtains WARNING Excessive Weight Hazard Use two or more people to move and install air conditioner. Failure to do so can result in back or other injury. Attach curtains to unit before placing unit in window. 1. Remove unit from packaging. 2.
4. Pull left curtain (D) out until it fits into the window channel (E). Repeat with right curtain. 5. Insert one of the slotted round-head screws (F) through left curtain and into the window channel or through alternate hole (G) at the top of the curtain and into the window channel to fasten the curtain to the window sash.
Air Conditioner Use Operating your air conditioner properly helps you to obtain the best possible results. This section explains proper air conditioner operation. IMPORTANT: • If you turn the air conditioner off and then turn the unit back on, the fan will come on, but the compressor will remain off for 3 minutes before turning back on.
To operate air conditioner with remote control NOTE: Two AA batteries (not included) power the remote control. Replace batteries after six months of use, or when the remote control starts to lose power. Be sure to install batteries with correct polarity. To turn the air conditioner on or off: Press the POWER ON/OFF button.
