This kit does not contain a replacement "RAxxx" Product Code label.
Code Sticker
This code is used by Harris as reference should you return your radio
Note
for service or request an advance exchange radio link.
Please contact Customer Service (see page 2) for a new RA product
code label for your modified radio. Provide the existing RA product
codes (each is unique) for all Aurora radios you will be modifying with
this procedure.
This procedure only applies to Aurora 2400 Model 3 (M3 or
higher) and Aurora 5800 Model 2 (M2 or higher).
This procedure requires the radio to be turned off. Before you
take the radio offline, temporarily redirect traffic or plan for a
service outage.

  • Page 4 FMP-112968-001 Table 1 Modem strap installation for P4 and P5 (Aurora 2400) Configuration E1, balanced, 120 ohms E1, unbalanced, 75 ohms Aurora 5800 Jumper Locations Remove the two jumpers in the P10, P11 strapping block. (Refer to Figure 2 and Table 2.)
  • Page 5 Secure the 10Base-T card to the board using the two screws from the kit. Install the jumpers. See Figure 1 (Aurora 2400) or Figure 2 (Aurora 5800) for placement. Replace the cover. Insert the screws and tighten them.
  • Page 6 Remove the 10Base-T card. Wrap it in a static-free bag and store it in a safe place. Aurora 2400: Install jumpers on P4 and P5 for the modem. (Refer to Table 1 for strapping.) Aurora 5800: Install jumpers on P10 and P11 for the modem.
