TROUBLESHOOTING

If your DSL LAN Extender device fails to operate properly, follows the troubleshooting procedure listed
in Table 1. If the DSL LAN Extender device is still not working, turn off the power and contact Black
Box Technical Support Department (see section Technical Support Information).
Table 1: Troubleshooting Procedure
SYMPTOM
No LED display
Red LED ON after link up
Green light/all LED steady ON
Both yellow LEDs OFF after
power-up/reboot
No response from LAN port
Both green and red LEDs are
ON
Cannot Telnet to the DSL LAN
Extender device
Cannot Telnet/Ping to the
remote DSL LAN Extender

DC Power adapter unplugged
Bad connection

SOLUTION
Check power adapter
connection
Check phone jack/cable
Try rebooting the device by
power off and on
Contact Black Box Technical
Support Department
-Use straight 10BaseT cable
when connect to hub/switch
-Use crossover 10BaseT cable
when connect to PC/laptop
Re-upgrade the software
Assign an IP address to the
device
Will be available in future S/W
release
