SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Make sure your handset for XPS-4010
charging cradle is connected to the AC outlet through the AC adapter.
To operate properly, both the handset charging cradle and the XPS-4010
must connect to an AC adapter. During power outage, the wireless part will not
work, you have to connect to a wired telephone with an external line or purchase
an UPS uninterruptible power system as backup.
Only use the supplied rechargeable Ni-MH batteries for the handset. The use of
other battery types or non-rechargeable batteries cells can be dangerous. These
may cause interference and/or unit damages.
It is normal for the battery to become hot gradually during the charging process.
It will not pose any dangerous.
 Do not let the charging cradle close to metal or wet area.
 Dispose of batteries safely. Do not burn them or put them
general household waste, they must be placed in the appropriate recycling
station.
 Do not expose the batteries to direct sunlight or extreme cold environment. Do
not put the batteries close to a heating source such as radiators, cookers, etc.

INSTALLING THE BASE

1. Plug one end of the power cable into the DC9V slot on the back of the base, and
the other end into a power outlet.
2. Plug the PSTN line into the RJ-11 jacks labeled L1, L2, L3 and L4 on the base.
