❐ Take the batteries out of the article when they are discharged or if the article is not
going to be used for a prolonged period. This will prevent damage that might occur if a
battery leaks.
❐ Remove dead batteries from the article immediately. Clean all contacts before putting a
new battery in the article.
❐ The batteries must not be recharged or reactivated by other means, dismantled, thrown
into a fi re, immersed in fl uids, or short-circuited.
The Proper Handling of the Article
❐ Only set up the article in closed, dry rooms.
❐ Do not drop the article or allow it to be knocked violently.
❐ Never fully immerse the LED Christmas tree stand or the remote control in water or
other liquids! This may damage the LED lights or the remote control.
❐ Do not expose the article to extreme temperatures, wide temperature variations, or
direct sunlight.
❐ Keep the article in a dry place at temperatures of between 0 and 40 °C.
❐ In the event of damage/faults, switch the article off immediately.
❐ Never try to repair an electrical article yourself; contact your nearest customer service
centre/specialist dealer to ensure your own safety. In the event of any damage, please
contact our customer service department (see the "Customer Service" chapter).
Warranty Terms
The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects caused by improper handling, dam-
age or unauthorised attempts to repair. The same applies for normal wear.
