Meaning of the Symbols in These Instructions

All safety instructions are marked with this symbol. Read these instructions carefully
and follow them to avoid injury to persons or damage to property.
Tips and recommendations are marked with this symbol.

Safety Instructions

Intended Use

❐ This article is suitable for erecting coniferous trees (without root balls) with a trunk
diameter of 4-10 cm and a maximum height of 2.10 m.
❐ The article is designed for personal use only and is not intended for commercial applica-
tions.
❐ Use the article only as described in the instructions. Any other use is deemed to be
improper.

Danger of Injury

❐ Please keep the article and packaging material out of the reach of children and pets.
There is a danger of injury and suffocation!
❐ Do not use the article if it is damaged!
❐ Batteries can be deadly if swallowed. Therefore keep all batteries out of the reach of
small children. If a battery is swallowed, seek medical assistance immediately.
❐ Should a battery have leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes and mucous membranes to
come into contact with the battery acid. If you touch battery acid, rinse the affected sites
with abundant fresh water immediately and contact a doctor as soon as possible.

Danger of Fire

❐ Maintain a suffi cient distance from sources of heat such as hobs or ovens when putting
up the tree. Heat may damage the article and set coniferous trees on fi re.

The Proper Handling of Batteries

❐ Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in the article and on the bat-
teries are clean; clean them if necessary.
❐ Use only the battery type specifi ed in the technical data (see the "Technical Data" chap-
ter).
❐ Always replace all the batteries at the same time. Do not use batteries of different types
or brands, or batteries with different capacities. When replacing batteries, note the cor-
rect polarity (+/–).
