General Operation

Switching On/Off

When you first connect the unit to the mains socket, the unit will be in STANDBY mode
and – –:– – will flash in the display.
• Press the STANDBY button on the unit or the remote control to switch the unit on. The
word "HELLO" will show in the display.
• Press the STANDBY button on the unit or the remote control to switch the unit back to
standby mode.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if you want to switch the unit
off completely.

ECO-Power Mode

Your unit features an ECO-Power/Standby mode. Press the STANDBY button to switch
to standby mode, then after 90 seconds in standby, the unit will automatically switch to
ECO-Power mode and the LED indicator above the standby button on the unit will glow red.
You can switch the unit directly to ECO-Power mode by holding down the STANDBY
button until "ECOPOWER" appears on the screen. The unit will now always go directly into
ECO-Power mode when the standby button is pressed. To cancel this, press and hold the
standby button when the unit is in ECO-Power mode.
To display the clock in either mode, press the CLOCK button and the clock will be displayed
for 90 seconds.
If the unit is idle for more than 15 minutes, it will automatically switch to ECO-Power mode.

Auto Setting the Clock

Tune to a DAB or FM radio station (with RDS). Press the DISPLAY button until the time is
displayed, then press and hold the CLOCK button, 'CT SYNC' will be displayed. The clock
will now be set. Press the CLOCK button to display the time for a few seconds. If it didn't set
automatically you will have to manually set the clock (see page 25).

Selecting Modes

Press the FUNCTION button on the unit to switch between FM RADIO, DAB RADIO,
AUX-IN, MP3 LINK, BLUETOOTH and USB modes. The selected mode will show on the
display. Alternatively press the FM/DAB, USB, AUX, MP3 LINK or (Bluetooth) button
on the remote control to select desired mode.

Adjusting the Volume

• Press the VOL + / – buttons on the unit or the remote control to adjust the volume.
• If you wish to turn the sound off, press the MUTE button on the remote control. Press the
MUTE button again or press the VOL + / – buttons to resume normal listening.
