1.3 Hints for use

• If the hood is used together with other
nonelectrically operated appliances,
the air pressure in the room must not
fall below a value of 4 Pa (4 x 10-5 bar).
• Make sure that the room is adequately
ventilated.
• Constant maintenance guarantees
problem-free operation and optimal
hood performance.
• Prior to carrying out cleaning or
maintenance work, the power supply
of the cooker hood is to be cut off by
unplugging or tripping out or remo-
ving the fuse.
• Regularly clean appliance surfaces
from encrusted food.
• Regularly clean or replace the filters.

Ensure that the hood has not been da-
maged during transport.
Installation and connection of the electri-
cal supply must be carried out by profes-
sionals according to the manufacturer's
instructions and in compliance with the
local requirements.

3.1 Operating safety

• The grease filter must always be in
place when bringing the hood in
service, otherwise grease vapour can
become deposited inside the hood.
• Do not use an open fire under the coo-
ker hood (e.g. when flambéing).
High flames can damage the hood
or even cause a fire (e.g. by igniting
grease deposits in the filter.
• If you are using a gas stove, make sure
that the cookers are not operated
without cooking utensils.
With open gas flames, parts of the
appliance may be damaged by the
rising heat.
