Cutterblade Removal

e n gi n e s t o ps . Remove the spark plug lead and allow t h e e n gi n e t o
cool. Tur n t h e m o we r on i t s le f t hand s i d e and e n s u r e t h at t h e ai r cle a n-
e r s i d e of t h e e n gi n e i s uppe r m o s t .
F i r m l y gr i p t h e e n d of t h e cut t e r b lade wi t h t h e glove d hand and r e m o ve
t h e bolt , s p r i n g was h e r and di s t a nce pi e c e s e c ur i n g t h e cut t e r b lade wi t h
a 9 / 1 6 " A / F s p anne r .

To prevent accidents never work on the cutterblade unless the
spark plug lead has been removed. The cutterblade has sharp
edges. ALWAYS wear strong gloves to protect your hands when
working on the cutterblade. DO NOT rotate tools towards the cut-
ting edges to avoid the risk of injury should the tool slip. ALWAYS
use genuine Hayter replacement parts.
