Left-hand drive vehicles:
Fuse holder
› Route the wire in the wiring harness for connecting to the fuse holder parallel to the
module carrier, into the area behind the navigation system, then into the area behind the
instrument cluster element and from there, out and over to the fuse holder.
› Insert the sleeve for the red/ yellow wire in the wiring harness into connection point 18A in
the fuse holder as shown in the circuit diagram in fig. 17. Insert the 7.5 A MINI fuse (G) into
the wired connection point.
› Route the wire carefully along its entire length and use cable ties (D) to secure it to the
module carrier (see arrows in the detail in fig. 12). In the centre of the instrument cluster,
behind the navigation system, secure the wire to the unit holder using a cable tie (D)
(see arrow in fig. 13). Use cable ties (D) to secure the wire to the vehicle's existing wiring
harness behind the instrument cluster element (see arrow in fig. 14) and at the fuse holder
(see arrows in the detail in fig. 15).

Right-hand drive vehicles:
› Carefully route the wiring harness in the luggage compartment and on the wheel arch, the
floor panel beneath the rear seat, the vehicle sill and the A-pillar, and secure it to the vehi-
cle's existing wiring harness using cable ties (D) every 10-15 cm (see arrows).
› Use pieces of self-adhesive foam-rubber tape (F) to secure the wiring harness to the
left-hand side of the floor panel beneath the rear seat as shown in fig. 9.
Please note: Before adhering the foam-rubber piece, use an appropri-
ate cleaning agent (we recommend Terostat 8550) to thoroughly
clean and degrease the area on the body where it is to be adhered.
Leave to dry for 10 minutes. Do not touch this area once this is done,
as this may prevent the foam-rubber piece from properly securing the
wire.
Caution: During fitting, ensure that the work area is adequately
ventilated – the cleaning agents contain dangerous fumes.
› Route the wiring harness from the A-pillar, behind the bracket for the BCM control unit and
the fuse holder RACK and over to the module carrier, then parallel to the module carrier and
over to the wiring harness for the information electronics control unit.
Fuse holder
› Insert the sleeve for the red/ yellow wire in the wiring harness into connection point 18A in
the fuse holder as shown in the circuit diagram in fig. 17. Insert the 7.5 A MINI fuse (G) into
the wired connection point.

How to connect the camera wiring harness to the information electronics control unit:
› Pull the Quadlock connector from the information electronics control unit (in the passen-
ger-side storage compartment) and connect the wires in the wiring harness in accordance
with the circuit diagram in fig. 17 as set out below.
› Connect the white wire in the wiring harness to the blue connector (Quadlock) PIN 6 and
the black wire to the blue connector (Quadlock) PIN 12.
