Remove the following components:
EN
› Handle on the boot lid,
› Upper and lower boot lid lining,
› Motor for the electrically operated boot lid (if fitted),
› Rear seat.
On the right-hand side (when viewed in the direction of travel):
› Luggage compartment lining,
› C-pillar trim (Superb 3V3), D-pillar trim (Superb Combi 3V5),
› Rear side airbag or side padding (depending on the vehicle equipment specification).
On the passenger's side:
› Front- and rear-door sill trim,
› Lower A-pillar trim,
› Instrument cluster side cover,
› Storage compartment.
For left-hand drive vehicles, remove the following components:
› MIB,
› Instrument cluster element,
› Driver-side storage compartment,
› Knee airbag (if fitted).
For right-hand drive vehicles, disconnect or, if necessary, remove the following compo-
nents:
› Right-hand front- and rear-door sill trim.
Disconnect the following components:
› Grommet for the electrical wiring in the boot lid,
› Roof lining,
› Fuse holder.

Recessed handle with reversing camera
› Pull the connector for the existing electrical wiring from the existing handle on the boot lid
and remove the handle.
› Plug the connector on the existing electrical wiring into the recessed handle with the
reversing camera (B) (hereafter referred to only as recessed handle), position the recessed
handle and fit it into the opening in the boot lid.

How to pull the wiring harness (H, J) through from the recessed handle to the C-pillar:
› Pull the wiring harness (H, J) through between the outer and inner panel of the boot lid,
route it parallel to the existing electrical wiring and over to the grommet for the electrical
wiring in the boot lid, and pull the wiring harness through the grommet by the C-pillar
(Superb 3V3) or D-pillar (Superb Combi 3V5). This procedure must be carried out in accord-
ance with the workshop's practices.
Please note: The utmost care must be taken when pulling the wiring
harness through to avoid damaging the wiring harness itself, the
connectors or the grommet for the electrical wiring in the boot lid.
