    SIENA Digital electronic water heater 1. Introduction Designed with the user in mind, this product is a high quality, unvented domestic hot water cylinder with an enamelled steel tank. The product is suitable for domestic hot water systems where the cold mains water supply has a maximum supply pressure of 0.9 MPa.

  • Page 5 SIENA Digital electronic water heater 3.5. Location The unit is designed to be vertically wall mounted, indoors, in a frost-free environment. When choosing a suitable location for the cylinder, consideration should be given to the routing of the discharge pipe to a convenient point and also the availability of an adequate power supply for connecting the sheathed heating elements.

  • Page 8 4.8. Tundish The tundish (Figure 2, page 7) must not be positioned above or in close proximity to any electrical current carrying devices or wiring. The installation should conform with the requirements of section 4.9 below. 4.9. Discharge arrangement The tundish (Figure 2, page 7) must be installed in a position so that it is clearly visible by the user. In addition, the discharge pipe (Figure 2, page 7) from the tundish should terminate in a safe place where there is no risk to persons in the vicinity of the discharge, be of metal and: A) Be at least one pipe size larger than the normal outlet size of the safety device unless its total...

    7. Product information and operation 7.1. Control panel 7.1.1.     After 5 seconds the temperature, time and days of the week will show on the display panel. To switch the product off, please press the button again once. The product will go into stand-by mode with the word ‘STAND-BY’ displayed on the display panel. After 5 seconds the Rointe logo will appear.

    7.3. Adjust the day and time To set the day and time, please press the button on the keypad to access the Main Menu. Select the `Settings´ menu using the buttons on the keypad. To move left press the button and to move right press the button.

    SIENA Digital electronic water heater 7.5. Lock the control panel You can lock the keypad from the product or from a remote control* (optional). To lock the keypad manually, please hold and press the button AND the button TOGETHER for 3 seconds. The symbol will appear on the display panel and the keys will not respond.

    7.6.1. Main Menu: Settings sub-menu The `Settings´ sub-menu configures the technical parameters of your product. To access, select the icon displayed in the Main Menu screen and press to confirm. Use the buttons to move across the different options on the sub-menu to choose your parameter and press to access.

  • Page 18 • Water Heating Progress function This function allows you to see the progress of the water heating process towards the user established target temperature. To see the progress of the water heating, ensure the icon is highlighted in the `Energy´ sub-menu and press the button to confirm.

    SIENA Digital electronic water heater • Information This function will display the software version, the date of this release and the rated power of the product. To access this information, ensure the icon is highlighted in the `Energy´ sub-menu and press the button to confirm.
  • Page 20 The `Program´ sub-menu provides access to functions related to programming the product. To access, select the icon displayed in the Main Menu screen and press to access. Use the buttons to move across the different options on the sub- menu to choose your program and press to access.
  • Page 21 SIENA Digital electronic water heater The display panel will show 2 options: • PRE-PROGRAMS • START PROGRAMMING A flashing line will appear around the option that is selected. To change the option use the buttons and press the button to confirm.
  • Page 22 STEP 4 - Select the Hours Once step 3 has been completed, 0h appears on the display panel. 0h is equal to midnight. Use the buttons to select the hour you wish to change. Use the button to change the mode (COMFORT, ECO or nothing) for the hour you wish to modify.

  • Page 25 SIENA Digital electronic water heater • USER mode To enter the USER function, ensure the icon is highlighted in the `Program´ sub-menu and press the button to access. A 4-digit PIN code is required in order to access the menu. The default PIN is 0000.
  • Page 26 • Change the PIN code To change the PIN code of your product, ensure the icon is highlighted in the `Program´ sub-menu and press the button to access. Use the buttons to move left, right, up or down CANCE to select the new numbers, pressing after each number is highlighted to confirm.

    Rointe authorised personnel, at least once per year. • Before any work whatsoever is carried out on the installation, it MUST first be isolated from the mains electricity supply. • Only use spare parts authorised by Rointe. The use of other parts will invalidate the warranty.

  • Page 28: Troubleshooting

    • Drain the cylinder – When draining the cylinder, always switch off the product. Turn off the water supply at the stopcock (see Figure 2 on page 7). Connect a hosepipe to the drain cock (see Figure 2 on page 7) and route it to a convenient gully. Open the drain cock and all hot taps that are served by the cylinder.

ROINTE guarantees that there are no material defects of design or manufacture at the time of original acquisition and guarantees the inner steel cylinder for a period of 60 months and any electronic and electrical components for 24 months, provided that they have not been modified in any way.
