Risk of severe injury or death by electrical shock.
Always disconnect the electrical power before touching the pump or discharge.
Ground motor before connecting to power supply.

Changing the Voltage

1.
Disconnect the power supply to the pump.
2. Remove the motor terminal cover located at the back of the motor.
3. Place the end of a flat screwdriver in the opening provided and slide the voltage
indicator to the right or left.
To change from 115 V to 230 V, slide the indicator to the right.
To change from 230 V to 115 V, slide the indicator to the left.
4. Reattach the motor terminal cover to the motor.

Wiring the Pump

This pump comes with a dual voltage motor (115 V/230 V) and is factory set for 115 V.
Ensure the voltage indicator matches the voltage at the power source. Do not connect to
voltage other than that shown.
IMPORTANT: Motor must be grounded and motor terminal cover must be in place.
It is recommended that a separate circuit be used from the distribution panel to the
pump unit, properly protected with a fuse or circuit breaker.
A properly fused disconnect switch is to be installed in the line, making sure that the
correct gauge of cable is used to carry the load.
Very long leads will require a larger cable.
An electrician should be employed to do the wiring.
Wire the motor according to the motor nameplate to achieve counter-clockwise
rotation of impeller as seen facing the pump from the front of the casing.
