8. Secure the cord head assembly with four screws
using a 3 mm Allen wrench.
9. See Figure 4-10. Install cord head (J) and adapter
onto the shaft.

Replacing Trimmer Belt

NOTE: Use only Generac Pro belts. To order a replace-
ment, contact Generac Customer Service at 1-888-436-
3722 (1-888-GENERAC), or www.generac.com.
1. Tip the machine back to allow access to the under-
side of the unit.
2. See Figure 4-11. Remove trimmer cords from
head assembly.
3. Remove four trimmer guard bolts and flat washers
(B) with a 3/8" wrench. Remove trimmer guard.

4. See Figure 4-11. Move idler arm (C) away from
belt (D) and lift belt off idler pulley (E).

5. Remove belt from around engine and head assem-
bly pulleys
6. Install a new drive belt around engine and head
assembly pulleys.
7. Move idler in and install belt onto idler pulley.
8. Secure trimmer guard with four bolts and flat wash-
ers using a 3/8" wrench.
9. Install trimmer cord.

1. See Figure 4-13. Remove air filter cover (A).
2. Remove filter (B)..
3. Install new filter.
4. Install air filter cover.
