Installation Procedure

1. Be sure that the hood is clean and dry inside and out.
2. Using a tape measure install the (2) two bumpons as shown below.
NOTE: The bumpons must be installed on the hood not the deflector. If the bumpons are installed on the deflector, they will wear through the hood paint.
3. Open the hood and remove the four (4) plugs securing the hood leading edge chip guard at the following locations as shown.
4. Peel the chip guard back by hand all along the leading edge of the hood.
5. Place the deflector supporting clip (Identified with Silver Stripe) over the hood edge at the Center location. Align the hole in the supporting clip with the hole in
the hood exposed in step 3.
NOTE: DO NOT pry open deflector supporting clips to aid installation. Permanent deformation may occur and the clips will become loose.
6. Insert an expansion plug into the hole, first going through the chip guard into the hole in the supporting clip and into the hole in the hood. Tighten a #6 x ½"
screw into each of the expansion plugs.
7. Repeat for the deflector supporting clips at the End locations (No identifying strip).
8. Use a flat blade screwdriver wrapped in insulation tape to set the hood leading edge chip guard back into place. The chip guard must seat over the defector
supporting clips as shown.
9. Place the air deflector on top of the four (4) brackets installed in step 5 and 7, aligning the holes in the deflector with the holes in the expansion fasteners
mounted in the top of the supporting clips. Tighten a #8 x ½" Black screw through the deflector and into the expansion plug.
10. Place the deflector supporting clips Side location over the edge of the hood, and align the clip with the hole in the deflector. Tighten a #8 x ½" Black screw
through the deflector and into the expansion plug. Be sure the supporting clip is fully seated against the hood edge.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Clean the protector with a mild soap and water solution or plastic cleaner only. Do not use chemicals or solvents. Periodically check to make sure the
protector is secure. Avoid using automatic car washes. Do not pull on protector when opening or closing the hood.
