Installation Procedure
1.
Be sure that the hood is clean and dry inside and out.
2.
Using a tape measure install the (3) three bumpons as shown below.
NOTE: Locate the center of the hood using a tape measure and place the first bumpon as shown in the illustration. The bumpons must be installed
on the hood not the deflector. If the bumpons are installed on the deflector, they will wear through the hood paint.
3.
Peel the chip guard off the leading edge of the hood, but do not remove the fasteners that retain it to the hood. The chip guard will be reinstalled after the
metal brackets are installed on the hood edge.
4.
Peel and fold anti-abrasion film pads in half over the edge of the hood, in the three (3) locations shown in the illustration. The first location is at the center of
the hood edge – use the hood latch attached to the hood, to help determine the center location. The second and third location corresponding with the
round hole to the left and right of the center as shown in the illustration.
*NOTE: USE The Metal Bracket Guide To Determine the type of bracket used in the following steps.

Install a Type universal metal bracket at the center location by sliding it over the hood edge. Be sure the bracket is fully seated against the hood edge. See
Illustration.
