From the manual:
If you select a bank F Program for a timbre whose "Voice Reserve" is set
to 0, the Program will not sound.
If you are going to play around with the MOSS function, I highly
recommend reading the section of the manual that explains it, because it
is quite different than using the regular programs:
Pages 269-291.
8. There is no F Bank for the combi's on the included data disk for
the MOSS board. Only after making my mistake did I realize that
the B Bank on the program data disk is the one I should be
uploading to F Bank.
The Karma manual explains this rather clearly, with a section explaning
how to load the data for the MOSS Board:
271. I suggest anyone installing (or considering) the MOSS board should
read the EXB-MOSS section of the Appendices.

9. What is the difference between The EXB expansion boards for the
Triton & Karma and sounds you can add or edit from disk of
users and third parties ?
EXB expansion boards not only have new sounds on floppies, they also
have new waveforms (16mb on each board) that get used by the new
sounds. In other words, sounds from 3rd party companies can only use
the existing waveforms in the Karma/Triton, and make new Programs
around them. EXB boards have additional new waveforms, and
completely new programs built around them. They can give you
completely different sounds or instruments that are not present in the
original factory voicing.
