Grounding the Device
!
DANGER
Danger due to high touch voltages
Noncompliance leads to death or severe injury.
Work may only be carried out by electrically qualified personnel who are familiar with and observe the
²
safety requirements and precautions.
Do not perform any work in the presence of hazardous voltages.
²
During connection work, completely de-energize the plant (control cabinet, switch panel) where the
²
device is to be operated.
Fix the protective conductor (copper band or conductor) to the lower contact point using an M4 screw.
²
Make sure that the protective conductor has a low impedance and low inductance.
Attach the shielding of the conductors to the upper contact point using an M4 screw.
²
Connection to the Junction Block
Connect the injection unit 7XT71 to the devices to be connected using the screw terminals of the junc-
²
tion block. Only use copper conductors for this. Consider the markings of the individual connections, the
permissible cross-sections, and the tightening torque while doing this.
NOTE
i
i
Consider the information in chapter
Terminals of the Junction Block.
When connecting 2 copper conductors in 1 screw terminal, make sure that both conductors make perma-
nent contact with the screw terminal.
