STARTER ROPE
10. Set the knot at the end of the
emergency starter rope in the notch
in the flywheel, and while pulling
the emergency starter rope
clockwise around the flywheel.
FLYWHEEL (STARTER PULLEY)

11. Pull the starter rope lightly until
resistance is felt, then pull briskly.
STARTING THE ENGINE
FAST IDLE LEVER
(R type)
12. If the fast idle lever is raised,
return the fast idle lever slowly to
the position where the engine does
not stall and hold the lever in the
position.
