8.2) Logics

- TCA dwell time [0]

1 - Carries out automatic gate closing after the dwell time set (automatic
closing time). Automatic closure is activated by: the gate reaching the
open end-of-stroke position, the end of operation time during the
opening phase, and the gate stopping during the opening phase by
means of a start impulse.
0 - Excludes automatic closure.
- 2-step, 4-step logic [0]
1 - Enables 2-step logic (prevails over "3-step logic"). A start impulse has
the following effects:
door closed: ................................................................................. opens
on opening: .................................................................................. closes
door open: ................................................................................... closes
on closing: ................................................................................... opens
after stopping: .............................................................................. opens
0 - Enables 4-step logic (prevails over "3-step logic" if it is the latest choice).
A start impulse has the following effects:
door closed: ................................................................................. opens
on opening: ................................... stops and enters TCA if configured
door open: ................................................................................... closes
on closing: .................................. stops and does not enter TCA (stop)
after stopping: .............................................................................. opens
- 3-step logic [0]
1 - Enables 3-step logic (with 2 steps, 4 steps=0 logic). A start impulse has
the following effects:
door closed: ................................................................................. opens
on opening: ................................... stops and enters TCA if configured
door open: ................................................................................... closes
on closing: ................................................................................... opens
after stopping: .............................................................................. opens
0 - Disables 3-step logic.
- Impulse lock on opening [0]
1 - The start impulse has no effect during the opening phase.
0 - The start impulse becomes effective during the opening phase.
- Impulse lock on closing [0]
1 -The start impulse has no effect during the closing stage.
0 -The start impulse is effective during the closing stage.
- Impulse lock in TCA [0]
1 - The start impulse has no effect during the TCA dwell time.
0 - The start impulse is accepted during the TCA dwell time.
- Pre-alarm [1]
1 - The blinker comes on for about 3 seconds before the motors start.
0 - The blinker comes on at the same time as the motors start.
- Open/Close control (Hold to Run) [0]
Acts on the signals connected to terminals 44-45.
1 - Hold-to-run operation: the manoeuvre continues as long as the control
key is kept pressed.
NOTE: All the automatic controls and safety devices are excluded.
The STOP (terminal 33), OPEN (terminal 44) and CLOSE (terminal
45) controls, as well as the limit switches remain active.
0 - Impulse operation: one impulse opens the gate if closed, closes it
if open.
- Courtesy light [0]
1 - Zone light. Remains active throughout the gate manoeuvring operation.
0 - Courtesy light. Remains active for 90 seconds after last operation.
- Motor preheating [0]
1 - Function entered.
0 - Function not entered.
- Rapid closure [0]
1- Closes the gate after photocell disengagement, before waiting for the
end of the TCA set.
0 - Control not entered.
- Opening Ram blow [0]
1 - Before carrying out the opening manoeuvre, the gate pushes for about
2 seconds on closing. This allows the electric lock to be released
more easily.(not affected by limit switches)
0 - Excludes the ram blow.
IMPORTANT - When no adequate mechanical backstops are installed,
do not use this function. It is also to be absolutely avoided in the
automation of sliding gates.

- Lock hold [0]

1 - If the motors remain still in a totally open or closed position for over one
hour, they are activated for about 3 seconds in the respective direction.
This operation takes place once every hour.
N.B.: This function has the purpose of compensating any oil volume
decrease in the hydraulic motors, due to a temperature drop during
prolonged pauses, for instance at night, or to internal leaks.
IMPORTANT - When no adequate mechanical backstops are installed,
do not use this function. It is also to be absolutely avoided in the
automation of sliding gates.
0 - Excludes the said function.
- Time count [0]
1 - The control unit calculates the activation time of each motor, based on
the preceding manoeuvres.
0 - The control unit activates the motors at each manoeuvre for the time set.
N.B. Always set the operation time to a slightly higher value than needed
to carry out the complete manoeuvre.
- Light/Alarm [1]
1 - Gate-open alarm output (activated if the gate remains open for twice the
TCA time set).
0 - Stair-light control (the impulse stays on for 1 second).
- Type of lock [0]
1 - Suction-type lock.
0 - Click lock.
- Clock / Pedestrian [0] Input for the connection of an external timer
1 - The Clock input is only active in Motor 2, for the pedestrian time set.
A start command given during the clock phase carries out complete gate
opening and closing, resetting the open pedestrian position.
0 - The Clock input acts on both motors.
- ADMAP photocell [1]
1 - Only on closure. If engaged on closing, it stops and reverses the
direction.
0 - Always active. If engaged on closing or opening, it stops until clear of the
obstacle; in any case moves to opening position.
- Leaves [0]
1 - Only motor 2 activated (1 leaf).
0 - Both motors are activated (2 leaves).
- Brake [0]
1 - Electronic braking activated.
0 - Electronic braking excluded.
- Slow-down [0]
1 - Slow-down during end-of-run phase activated.
0 - Slow-down during end-of-run phase excluded.
Advanced logics - Address 11:
- Ram blow in closing [0]
1 - Before carrying out the closing manoeuvre, the gate pushes for about 2
seconds on opening. This allows the electric lock to be released more
easily.(not affected by limit switches)
IMPORTANT - When no adequate mechanical backstops are installed,
do not use this function. It is also to be absolutely avoided in the
automation of sliding gates.
0 - Excludes the ram blow in closing.

8.3) Self-diagnosis

This is used to check that the control unit operates correctly and the
installation is correctly wired.
The control unit provides the UNIPRO programmer with continuous
information on the state of its inputs (terminals 29, 30, 31,33, 34, 35, 36, 38,
39, 40, 41, 43, 44, 45, 46, 48, 49). Diagnosis is to be carried out with the gate
half open (limit switches not pressed) and the motors stopped.
If the diagnosis is correct, with the motors stopped, also check the complete
opening and closing conditions (limit switch activation check).
Having connected the UNIPRO programmer, enter the CONTROL UNIT /
SELF-DIAGNOSIS menu, press enter and wait for the self-diagnosis
programme which will show the position and comments relating to problems
with inputs, as for example:
- Stop engaged, input to terminal 33 - [errore stop] is displayed.
- Admap engaged, input to terminal 34 - [admap error ] is displayed.
- Opening safety devices engaged, input to terminal 35 - [safeop error ] is
displayed.
- Closing safety devices engaged, input to terminal 36 - [safecl error ] is
displayed.
