NOTE: The front drive chain is 68 links and the rear
chain is 66 links.
PARTS INSPECTION
Thoroughly clean all parts before inspection.
1. Inspect the drive sprockets in the center spline
area, 1, for excessive wear and the tooth area, 2,
for wear.
2. Inspect the drive chains for broken or cracked
rollers, 1.
3. Inspect the drive chains for cracked or broken
side bars, 2.
4. Inspect the side bar to pin wear or looseness at

5. Inspect the drive chains for excessive stretch
(bushing wear).
