CUTTERHEAD GENERAL INFORMATION
Forward grass discharge: Set the rear deflector down against the rear face of the
bottom blade support, as shown.
Grass clipping collection: A Grass collection box kit is available for fitting to
cutterheads when a floating head kit is fitted. Forward discharge is achieved by fitting
the concave supplied in the grassbox kit.
Note: Depending on cut height setting it may be necessary to lower the rear rollers
temporarily to enable the rear deflectors to be rotated into their required positions.
Height of cut gauge: A height of cut gauge is available to assist in achieving accurate
cut height settings.
Height of cut adjustment: The height of cut is gauged by the position of the
rear roller on a fixed cutterhead and by the position of the front and rear roller on the
floating head.
To adjust the front roller position, release and turn nuts 'A' at both ends to alter
the height of cut 'E'.
To adjust the rear roller position, release and turn nuts 'B' at both ends to alter
the height of cut 'E'.
Ensure that all cutterheads are set at the same height of cut by using the
height of cut gauge across the full width of each cutterhead as shown .
Tighten nuts 'A' and 'B' both ends.
In normal operating conditions the position of the front and rear rollers should
be such that the lower face of the bottom blade is parallel to the ground as shown.
