Overview - Sony BKSM-T103 Installation Manual

The BKSM-T103 is the board which converts the input analog composite video and analog audio signals,
and inputs these converted signals to the encoder board of the DSM-T1/M1.
In the BKSM-T103, the analog composite video signal is converted analog to digital, compressed, then
input this compressed signal to the encoder board of the DSM-T1/M1 as a video data.
Similarly, the analog audio signal is converted analog to digital, then input this converted signal to the
encoder board as an audio data.
The BKSM-T103 can be installed in the following units.
. DSM-T1 Digital Satellite Modulator
. DSM-M1 SDTI Multiplexer
The BKSM-T103 consists of the following components.
. APR-30 board
. ANALOG IN rear panel assembly (with 3-pin XLR connectors)
. ANALOG IN rear panel assembly (with 5-pin XLR connectors)
. Coaxial cable
. Harness (with white connectors)
. Harness (with red connectors)
. Screw for board installing (PWH 3x6)
. Screw for rear panel installing (B 3x6)

: Use either of the two panels for your purpose.
. Rear panel with 3-pin XLR connectors : Enables 2-channel audio input.
. Rear panel with 5-pin XLR connectors : Enables 4-channel audio input.
