Add engine oil to the correct level.
NOTICE
• Do not tilt the generator when adding engine oil.
This could result in overfilling and damage to the
engine.
• Be sure no foreign material enters the crankcase.

0.4 L (0.42 US qt, 0.35 Imp qt)
9. Wipe the panel clean, and wipe up any spilled oil.

Install the O-ring and the oil filler cap.
11. Install the panel.

Finger-tighten the panel openers to engage the
lock (for Australia). Or install the screws (for
Europe).
Panel screw tightening torque:
1.5 N·m (0.15 kgf·m, 1.1 lb·ft)

Spark plug inspection

The spark plug is an important engine component,
which should be checked periodically.
Soon after stopping the engine, do not touch the
spark plug and the engine. As they are hot, it may
result in a burn.
TIP
The spark plug tool is not included with the generator.
Please obtain the appropriate 20.8 mm (13/16 in) spark
plug wrench.
