Precautions for use

WARNING
• Never operate the engine in a closed area or it
may cause unconsciousness and death within a
short time. Operate the engine in a well venti-
lated area.
• Before starting the engine, do not connect any
electric devices.
• Clean dusts, dirt or water off the receptacle
before use.
NOTICE
The generator was shipped from the factory with-
out engine oil. Do not start the engine for the first
time until the oil level has been checked and oil
added if necessary.
TIP
Soon after the purchase or after draining the fuel from
the carburetor with the carburetor fuel drain cock, the
fuel will not be supplied to the entire starting system
automatically. Thus, the recoil starter handle may have
to be pulled a few times until the engine starts.

Starting the engine

1.
While holding the fuel tank cap so that it will not
move, turn the air vent lever to "ON".
