NOTICE
Note potential equalization!
Ä
When using shielded M12 cables on connections X1, X2 and ETH,
ensure that there is sufficient potential equalization between the
housing connection (functional earth, machine ground) of the RSL
410 and the shield potential at the M12 connection location (e.g.,
shielding connection on the fieldbus module).
Ä
Large compensating currents over the shield of the M12 cable
could lead to functional impairments.
Ä
Alternatively to the recommended grounding (via M5 connection/
ground strap), grounding can be performed via the CU's terminal
screws. For this purpose, free spots are provided on the CU ac-
cordingly.
Ä
Ensure a good conductivity of the CU to the functional earth/ma-
chine ground when grounding via terminal screws.
CAUTION
Safe mains separation acc. to SELV/PELV!
The supply of the second mains supply must ensure safe mains sepa-
ration in accordance with SELV/PELV.
