    Before carrying out service, make sure that the pump has been thoroughly flushed with clean water.     10.3 Checking the direction of rotation Only start and run an unsubmerged pump for a few seconds to check the direction of rotation. An arrow on the top cover indicates the correct direction of rotation. Correct direction of rotation is clockwise when viewed from above.
