ANSI Z359.2 states that anchorages selected for fall arrest systems must have a strength capable of sustaining static loads, applied in all permitted directions by the system: A) no less than 5,000 pounds (22.2 kN) for non-certifi ed anchorages; or B) at least two times the maximum arresting force for certifi ed anchorages;... - Page 5 WARNING! Striking objects horizontally due to the pendulum effect of a swing fall may cause serious injury or death. SWING FALL HAZARD WING ALLS To minimize the possibility of a swing fall, anchor as Anchorages directly above the work area as possible. AINTENANCE WARNING! Only Werner Co., or persons or entities authorized in writing by Werner Co., shall make repairs or alterations to the equipment. SRL’s requiring maintenance must be tagged “unusable” and removed from service. Do not use any SRL that requires maintenance. - Page 9 WARNING: Read all warnings and instructions in User Manual prior to use and follow accordingly. If missing, contact Werner Co. for a replacement. Inspect product prior to each use, then at least monthly by a competent person who is not a user. Before use withdraw and retract some webbing and tug sharply to ensure that the pawls engage properly and the unit retracts normally.
