TROUBLESHOOTING

If any abnormality arises during use, please check the following points:
SYMPTOMS
Unit does not turn on
when the "START/STOP"
button is pushed.
E1 error
symbol shown on display.
E2 error
symbol shown on display.
E3 error
symbol shown on display.
E4 error
symbol shown on display.
EE error
symbol shown on display.
out error symbol shown
on the display.
Excessive body motion
detector symbol shown
on display.
NOTE: If the unit still does not work, contact HoMedics Consumer Relations. Under no circumstance should
you disassemble or attempt to repair the unit by yourself. Contact information for HoMedics Consumer
Relations can be found in the Warranty section.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
Batteries have run down.
Battery polarities have been positioned
incorrectly.
Cuff has been placed incorrectly or
there is an air circuit abnormality.
Did you talk or move during measurement?
Shaking of the wrist with the cuff on.
Pulse signal not detected.
Error determining measurement data.
System error.
Pressure measurement out of range.
Excessive body movement, especially
of the wrist the cuff is worn, occurred
during the measurement. Ex: talking,
moving, or shaking of the arm with the
cuff on while measurement.
Cuff may not be wrapped correctly.

CORRECTION
Replace them with 2 new "AAA"
alkaline batteries.
Re-insert the batteries in the
correct positions.
Wrap the cuff properly so that it is
positioned correctly. Measure again.
Keep wrist steady during
measurement. Measure again.
Measure again.
Relax for 3 minutes, measure again.
Turn off monitor and measure
again. If EE still appears on
the display followed by any
other character (ex: EE4, EEA,
etc.), please contact Consumer
Relations.
Switch the unit off to clear, then
measure again.
Measure again. Keep arm steady
during measurement.
Ensure wrist cuff is wrapped
correctly. See Applying the Cuff on
page 14 for more information. Please
consult your health care professional
if you have questions on how to
properly wear the wrist cuff.
