2 Equipment Inspection Before Power-On
a
Provisioning Power for the Cabinet
Power off the first power cabinet. Switch the PDU to ON, and use a multimeter to measure all of the resistance
between any two of NEG(-), RTN(+), and PGND (PGND). Switch the PDU to OFF, and use a multimeter to
measure all of the resistance between any two of NEG(-), RTN(+), and PGND (PGND).
To prevent short circuit between power terminals, the resistance values must be as follows:
PDU circuit breaker
Switch the PDU to ON
Switch the PDU to OFF
Check the value of the first power cabinet fuse capacity.
The maximum operating current of a single channel is 60A, the value of the first power cabinet fuse capacity is
recommended as 63A .
Mapping the first power cabinet circuit breaker (fuse) to the device (subrack) is recommended. To be specific, a
channel of power sent by a circuit breaker of the first power cabinet can be connected to only one device. If a channel
of power sent by a circuit breaker of the first power cabinet is connected to multiple devices, when a traffic error occurs
on one device, the circuit breaker may take protection measures, causing multiple devices to be powered off.
Power on the first power cabinet, and keep the PDU in the OFF state, and measuring the voltage between PDU
NEG(-) and RTN(+). The following table lists the normal voltage range:

Range
CAUTION
Do not power on the equipment when the power
voltages are not within the specified ranges.
b
Inspecting the Equipment Before Power-On
WARNING
Do not insert or remove power plugs and PIU boards when they are powered on.
Power off the PDU power switch, and check whether the power supplies of the subrack are normal. If the power
supplies are normal, the PIU PWR indicator is steady green. Switch on the PDU standby power, switch off the
PDU master power, and check whether the power supplies of devices are normal. If the power supplies are
normal, keep the PDU standby power in the ON state, and switch on the master power again.
Check the power indicator (green) at the top of the cabinet. The indicator should be steady green.
After the subrack is powered on, test the air flows to check that the Fan powered boxes are working.
Check that the STAT indicator on the Fan powered box is steady green. If the STAT indicator is steady red, the
Fan powered box is faulty. In this case, rectify the Fan powered box faults and then commission the equipment.
