Chapter 6. Parts listing (42U deep dynamic rack and deep
dynamic expansion rack)
The replaceable components that are available for the 42U 1200 mm Deep Dynamic Rack and 42U 1200
mm Deep Dynamic Expansion Rack are described in this chapter. To check for an updated parts listing on
the Web, complete the following steps:
1.
Go to https://datacentersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/.
2.
Select Infrastructure Options.
3.
Select Rack Enclosures.
4.
Select your product name and machine type.
Replaceable rack components
Replaceable components are of three types:
•
Tier 1 customer replaceable unit (CRU): Replacement of Tier 1 CRUs is your responsibility. If
Lenovo installs a Tier 1 CRU at your request, you will be charged for the installation.
•
Tier 2 customer replaceable unit: You may install a Tier 2 CRU yourself or request Lenovo to install
it, at no additional charge, under the type of warranty service that is designated for your server.
•
Field replaceable unit (FRU): FRUs must be installed only by trained service technicians.

assistance,". For information about the terms of the warranty, see the Important Notices and Warranty
Information document that comes with the rack.
