Print Quality Problems.

Originals are not copied clearly- marks or lines on copies
Cause
The machine's platen glass/cover is dirty.
Remedy
Clean the platen glass and cover.
Cause
The feeder scanning area is dirty.
Remedy
Clean the slit glass and feeder scanning area.
Black streaks appear on prints.
Cause
Fixing unit, or drum is dirty.
Remedy
If machine has a Drum, Dev or Fuser Refresh option run the refresh cycles.
NOTE
To attempt solving the above problem, start with a dev refresh followed by the fixing unit, and
then the drum.
If the problem persists even after cleaning all of the above parts, contact your local authorized
Canon dealer.
Print density is irregular.
Cause
The machine's transfer output is not appropriate for the paper used.
Remedy
Depending on device, use special modes or select the correct media type. These mode's enables
you to select the machine's transfer output from three levels.
Cause
The machine's print speed is too high for the media used.
Remedy
Depending on device, use special modes or select the correct media type, These mode's
improves print quality by reducing the machine's print speed, thus allowing more time for the toner
to become fixed on the paper.
Dots, lines, or stains appear on prints.
