outlet on the acceleration chamber must be dis-
mounted.
Remove the pebbles, while the blower is stopped. Do
not start the blower, while the covering plate is dis-
mounted. Any grains or pebbles, which might be col-
lected in the acceleration chamber, will be blown out at
high speed.
Retightening
On a new blower all bolts and screws are to be retigh-
tened after the first working day. Apart from that make
sure that they are tight at all times.
Storage
Clean and grease the suction blower, if it is not going
to be used for some time.
To prevent rust, store the machine in a dry place pro-
tected against wind and moisture.
Belt adjustment
Check V-belt tension regularly.
New V-belts normally require adjustment after the first
1-2 hours of work.
Then check the belt tension each 500 hours of opera-
tion. Note that under difficult operation conditions it can
be necessary to check the belt tension more often.
Checking V-belts for blower
The tension of the V-belt can be checked when ope-
ning the cover of the belt guard. Remember to close
the cover again, before starting the blower.
Check the belt tension by pressing with a force of 7,5
kg on one of the V-belts. If the tension is correct, this
force should give the V-belt a deflection of 9 mm for
new V-belts and 12 mm for "old" belts. Use, for instan-
ce, a tension tester to check the belt tension.
A
New V-belts: 9 mm
Retightening: 12 mm
If the deflection is larger than stated above, the V-belts
need to be tightened. If the deflection is less, the belts
should be slackened.
Check the tension of all the belts. If it is not possible to
adjust all the belts, so that they have the same tension,
the whole set of belts must be replaced.
Remember to check that the belts are not worn and
change them if necessary. It is recommended to chan-
ge all belts at the same time.
Tightening of belts for blower
First open the belt-tightening handle. Notice the lock-
ing pawl of the handle.
Then tighten the belts with a spanner
Close the belt-tightening handle.
