4.10 TRANSPORT

1.
Read and understand ALL the information in
the Operator's Manual regarding procedures
and SAFETY when operating the Sprayer in the
fi eld and/or on the road.
2.
Check with local authorities regarding sprayer
transport on public roads. Obey all applicable
laws and regulations.
Fast Distributing sprayers are de-
signed to be easily and conveniently
moved from fi eld to fi eld. When
transporting, follow this procedure:
1.
Be sure all bystanders are clear of
the machine.
2.
Be sure that the Sprayer is
hitched positively to the tractor.
3.
Keep to the right and yield the
right-of-way to allow faster traffi c
to pass. Drive on the road shoul-
der, if permitted by law.
4.
Make sure the SMV (Slow Mov-
ing Vehicle) emblem and all the
lights and refl ectors that are re-
quired by the local highway and
transport authorities are in place,
are clean and can be seen clearly
by all overtaking and oncoming
traffi c.
5.
Install Transport Locks:
a.
Extend and secure cradle
locks over each boom. Se-
cure with retainer.

Always travel at a safe speed. Use caution when
making corners or meeting traffi c.
Make sure the SMV (Slow Moving Vehicle)
