• Do not attempt to operate this unit with the door open since this can result in
harmful exposure to microwave energy. It is important not to break or tamper
with the safety interlocks.
• Do not obstruct the unit's front or door, or allow soiling or cleaner residue to
accumulate on sealing surfaces.

• As the power of different microwaves can vary considerably, care must be taken
when first using this microwave as it may cook faster than expected.
• Do not leave the microwave unattended during use.
• Take care when cooking food with a high sugar or fat content, such as
Christmas pudding or fruitcake. The sugar or fat can overheat and in some cases
catch fire.
• Do not overcook food.
• Remove wire twist-ties and metal handles from paper or plastic containers/
bags before placing them in the oven.

• Keep combustible materials, such as: curtains, drapes, furniture, pillows,
clothing, linens, bedding, paper, etc., at least 3 feet (0.9 metres) from the front
sides and rear of the oven. Do not use this unit in areas where gasoline, paint or
other flammable liquids or their associated vapours may be present.
• Make sure that if using cling film or plastic or similar materials in the unit, that
they are microwave-safe and suitable for the chosen function. If in doubt, do
NOT use such materials.

In the event of fire:
• Keep the microwave door closed.
• Turn off the power.
• Unplug the microwave from the mains power.

• Quickly placing the scald under cold running water for at least 10 minutes.
• Cover with a clean dry dressing. Do not use creams, oils or lotions.
