Start the engine and drive to a flat area.

Check the engine-oil level.
Changing the Engine-Oil Filter
Service Interval: Every 200 hours (more often
in extremely dusty or sandy
conditions).
1.
Drain the oil from the engine; refer to
the Engine Oil (page

Place a rag under the oil filter to soak up any
spilled oil.
Important:
Spilled oil may drain under the
engine and onto the clutch. Oil spilled on
the clutch may damage the clutch, cause
the blades to stop slowly when the clutch is
in the O
position, and cause the clutch to
FF
slip when the clutch is switched to the O
position. Wipe up any spilled oil.

Change the engine-oil filter

Note:
Ensure that the oil-filter gasket touches
the engine, and then turn the filter an extra 3/4
turn.

Fill the crankcase with the specified type of new
