hands approach the winch no closer than 10 inches while it is in operation. Keep your hands off the
drum while the winch is under power.
never wrap the rope unilaterally, the rope takes damage.
!
!
if you operate the winch with a synthetic rope, read the instruction manual on the synthetic ropes
beforehand.
if the rope knocks over and doesn't wrap up nicely, it takes damage.
!
!
after a winch process, unwrap the entire rope and subject it to a visual inspection. If damaged,
change the rope.
after the winching process, wrap the rope completely and wrap it up properly again.
!
!
never strain the hook at the top.
in the case of steel cables, a weight must be hung about 2m from the hook in order to avoid
!
pitching from the rope when tearing. For this purpose, you can use a batting protection mat
(available from specialist retailers).
a worn rope must be replaced.
!
!
never operate the winch with less than five rope rows around the drum. The rope could detach from
the drum as the rope attachment to the drum was not designed for such a load.
always wrap the cable in the direction shown on the sticker on the drum and/or in the corresponding
!
direction onto the drum. This is essential for the proper function of the brake.
Correct handling of the electric engine
!
if the engine blocks, stop the winch operation and shut off with power switch.
the guideline is – pull a maximum of one minute close to the nominal load.
!
maximum 5 minutes of operation with half the load. Then allow the engine to cool for between 5 to
10 minutes. Before the next winch operation, check that the engine has a maximum temperature of
40 degrees Celsius.
when the engine gets hot, interrupt the process immediately and let the device cool for a few
!
minutes.
if there is too little voltage, you overheat the winch. There may be serious damage to the engine
!
and the control unit of the winch. On the car, the battery and the light machine may get damaged.
Therefore, only use suitable batteries, check with the retailer which type of battery is suitable. In the
event of a voltage drop, the power consumption increases, so the battery voltage decreases further.
For a 12 volt winch, if the voltage drops below 11 volt pausing until the battery and the winch have
recovered. An engine can be damaged even if there is a slight overheating.
these electric winches are designed and manufactured for periodic use and should not used
!
continuously without interruption.
Handling of the gearbox
!
never loosen the clutch when there is a load on the winch.
if the gearbox makes loud noises, it may be that there is too little grease in the gearbox. In this case
!
bring the winch to the service.
!
the clutch must be properly locked before the winch process. Otherwise you will damage the gearbox.
