Making the Connections

Switch off the PA system and the units to be connected before making or changing the connections.
1) Connect units with stereo line output (e.g. keyboard, CD player or laptop) to the RCA jacks LINE IN.
2) The MIC IN 1 and 2 microphone inputs connect dynamic microphones via balanced or unbalanced
6.3 mm plugs.
3) At each of the RCA outputs MIX OUT 1 and 2 the mono master signal of all channels is available. These
outputs allow connecting e.g. the input of another active speaker system for additional PA applications.
4) Insert the supplied antennas into the BNC jacks and put them in a vertical position.

Power Supply

The unit can be operated with mains voltage and for mobile use via the optional rechargeable battery or via
12 V direct current from an external source.
1) For mains operation, connect the device to the mains with the power cable supplied. When operating the
unit via the mains, the automatic charging for the rechargeable battery is always active (the battery
indicators light) even if the unit is switched off. To prevent unnecessary power consumption, always
disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if the unit is not used for a longer period.
2) For battery operation, the optional 12 V, 7 Ah battery is required. Unscrew the battery compartment
cover, insert the battery, and connect the positive pole to the red core and the negative pole to the black
core. Replace the battery cover. Prior to operating the PA system off mains for the first time, the battery
must be fully charged. Charging time is between 10 and 11 hours. The unit may be operated during the
charging procedure.
3) For charging the battery, connect the unit to a power outlet via the supplied power cable. The battery
indicators light up (charging active). The unit features a protective circuit for charging which prevents
overload of the battery. However, disconnect the unit from the mains after charging. Otherwise there will
be a low current consumption even if the unit is switched off.
4) For alternative 12 V power supply connect the external source (e.g. PSU or battery with a cable diameter
of at least 1 mm²) to the spring terminals 12 V EXTERNAL POWER INPUT.

Inserting Batteries into the Microphones and the Remote Control

1) For operation, each microphone requires two 1.5 V AA batteries. Remove the cover of the battery
compartment and insert two batteries as indicated in the compartment. With new batteries, the
microphones can be operated for approx. 13 hours.
2) The remote control of the audio player is supplied with a battery inserted. An insulating foil between the
battery and the battery contacts prevents the battery from being discharged during storage. Prior to the
first operation remove the foil from the battery support on the rear side of the remote control. Otherwise
operation of the remote control is not possible.
If the range of the remote control decreases, replace the battery. For this
purpose, on the rear side of the remote control press the small bar with the
groove to the right and at the same time remove the battery support.
3) If the devices are not used for a longer period, please remove the batteries to
prevent damage in case of battery leakage.
