SETUP AND CONNECTIONS

1
The placement of speakers is very critical and can compromise their performance. The sound is very
much influenced by the acoustic surroundings of your room. Monitor speakers should be placed in pairs
on an even surface and aligned to the ears of the listener in a regular triangle form. In order to avoid
reflections from the ceiling or floor, the tweeter should be located as high as your ears. Do not place the
speakers too close to walls or in corners. Nearfield monitors are designed to be installed as closely as
possible to the listener. The basic idea is to create a direct signal path between loudspeaker and ear
and to avoid indirect sound. Then the monitor's sound can be experienced as original as possible.
2
For connecting the signal source, three inputs are available. Use the RCA jack for unbalanced signals
and the XLR jack or the 6.3 mm jack for balanced signals. It is possible to connect the line output of e.g.
a mixer, CD player or computer. The different inputs are provided to allow for flexible connectivity and
not for connecting multiple sources to your speaker simultaneously. When several jacks are used at the
same time, the input signals are mixed.
