4.0 Troubleshooting

Never work on this machine with the power on unless the instructions
say the machine power must be on. Lock the power off at the wall disconnect switch. See 2.2
Power Lockout Procedure page, 4.
Whenever repairing hydraulic components, loosen connections slowly
to bleed off any trapped pressure.
Problem;
WON'T START -
1. Blown fuse.
2. Main Power Switch in off position
3. Defective start button.
4. Safety shield or drill head cover interlock switches not contacted or defective.
5. Defective starter.
6. Overload tripped
7. Loose wire.
LACK OF POWER -
1. Low voltage.
2. Hydraulic fluid low.
3. Relief valve in pump stuck open.
4. Check speed control valve.
5. Hydraulic cylinder needs to be replaced.
SPINDLE MOTOR STALLS -
1. Low voltage.
2. Drive belt is loose.
3. Drill bits are dull.
4. Drill bits are plugged.
5. Drill heads need to be repaired.
TABLE STROKE WON'T ADJUST -
1. Stroke adjustment chain off sprockets.
2. Broken chain.
TABLE WON'T RETURN AUTOMATICALLY -
1. Check continuity between the isolated block and ground.
